When I read the paragraph twenty–three, I have my point of view to some words and phrases which doubt me.
First of all, I think the word “shamelessly” appears in the first sentence is exaggerated to express the showing off, sometimes maybe any of us will shout our talents or triumphs to the world, it is forgivable and maybe even acceptable. Then I have seen a phrase “take a bow”, we can not translate it on its literal meaning, the dictionary tells me the expression “take a bow” means “stand forward or Stand Up to receive recognition, applause, etc”. next stands is the word “overdo”, here it has given a example to explain what the word means. Indeed, if you would like to show off your triumphs or talents to strangers who walk in the street, you are overdoing, it will waste their time to listen to your speech. Ultimately comes a sentence “enough about me”, I think the sentence omit many words to express the same meaning, the sentence means “you also talk about my talents and triumphs. Let’s talk about yours”. And here it just use three words. it has a good structure and worth me to learn.
In a word, exulting is forgivable and acceptable in our daily life, but we should hold the limitation of it, because it is a two–edged sword.
