SpongeBob SquarePants is the absorbent, yellow and porous star of the cable television cartoon series SpongBob SquarePants. The show was created by Stephen Hillenburg and first aired in 1999. Voiced by Tom Kenny, SpongeBob lives in a pineapple under the sea, in an area called Bikini Bottom. His associates include: Patrick (Bill Fagerbakke), a dimwitted starfish and SpongeBob's best friend; Squidward (Rodger Bumpass), a malcontent 6-legged octopus and SpongeBob's co-worker and neighbor; Mr. Krabs (Clancy Brown), the owner of the Krusty Krab, where SpongeBob works as a frycook; and Sandy Cheeks (Carolyn Lawrence), a feisty country squirrel who manages to live underwater. The original run of the series was suspended after 60 episodes in 2002, in order to create The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie (2004, with guest stars Alec Baldwin and Scarlett Johansson).

嚴肅而煩惱的章魚，和海綿寶寶同在蟹堡王工作。他喜歡花許多時間來進行藝術創作，當然他最得意的還是吹單簧管，儘管很難聽...他討厭海綿寶寶和派大星，因為他們所帶來的麻煩能毀了他的一切。
蟹老闆
蟹堡王的老闆，一隻喜歡金錢的螃蟹。有個可愛的鯨魚的女兒(鯨魚和螃蟹也可以生活在一起??)。當海綿寶寶不聽話時，就用解僱來威脅他。
痞老闆
未知生物，雖然不到1厘米卻有著統治世界的野心...也因為太小而被人忽視。和蟹堡王是門當互對的競爭對手，有時會利用海綿寶寶的單純來完成他的邪惡計畫，但永遠不會成功。
小蝸
它是海綿寶寶的寵物，像一隻貓一樣喵喵叫的蝸牛。出場次數不多卻注定是比基尼海里最聰明的生物。
