My feelings on Mid-autumn Day
Mid-autumn Day, a festival which somebody who travel away from hometown missed their home. “Lifting my head to look, I found that it was moonlight. Sinking back again, I thought suddenly of home.” The Mid-autumn Day is a time to long for family and special friends, remember interesting people and things which had happened in hometown, and image what changes had taken place in it.
Hometown, a character fills sunshine into our heart. Although land of hometown belong to the earth and all of the people live under the sky, but the people from all walks of life hold divergent stands, and everyone has their hometown in their heart.
What about your hometown?
my hometown is Yongkang, which is located in the middle of Zhejiang Province. And its name has a beautiful legend. As our ancestors saying, formerly, a famous general together with his mother traveled in it. His mother felt it is A charming and peaceful place, and traveled happily. When she visited the local temps, she wished it maintains peaceful and has quiet life forever. afterward, this place named “Yongkang”.
Originally my hometown is a village; residents lived a life as hunter and smithy. My grandfather was a skillful and respectable smithy; villagers said he has a deft hand. As society and economy develop, my hometown have undergone celebrate changes. Nowadays Yongkang is famous as the capital of hardware. It holds a grand exposition of hardware every year and attracts merchants all over the world.
Meanwhile, the culture of Mid-autumn Day has escalated. In old days, all of people held the ceremony to offer sacrifices to the moon on the day. And family members drink together “reunion wine” and have an “admiration-of-the-moon dinner”, then share moon cakes. In my hometown, we have diverse traditional programs, and it changes every year such as Stick LuoHan. Formerly, it performs martial arts, and all participants are younger and Stronger male. Nowadays activities of elder, children and women replace the performance of male player. There are different items, different form and different Mid-autumn Day.
