“In our life, we will experience sorrows and happiness, reunions and partings, just like the moon, it is not full all the time”. This poem is written to refer to the Mid Autumn Day.
The Mid-Autumn Day is celebrated on the fifteenth of the August in China, which is one of the most important festivals to Chinese.
It is a traditional festival that has a long history, which could date back to the Ancient Xia and Shang Dynasties. Because the full moon is a symbol of reunion, and the Mid-Autumn Festival is also known as the festival of reunion. On that special day, all family members try to get together, and eat moon cakes, those people who cannot return home to admire the bright moonlight may feel deep lonely. Today, people Celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival are more varied. After a family reunion dinner, many people like to go out to attend special performances in parks or other places.
People in different parts of China have different ways to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival. In my hometown, watching the flood tide of the qian Tang River during the days of Mid-Autumn Festival is not only for local people, but also for those people who comes from other parts of the country.
Last but not least, I hope that everyone would stay with family and share love with the family forever.
