教育背景
1975年獲香港大學社會科學(社會工作)榮譽學士學位;
1978年獲多倫多大學社會工作榮譽碩士學位;
1983年於曼徹斯特大學取得教育碩士學位;
1995年於香港大學取得哲學博士學位 。
學術經歷
阮曾媛琪先後於香港樹仁大學、新加坡國立大學任教。1986 年加入香港理工大學,任教於套用社會科學系。2004年至2010年期間任職該系系主任,2007年至2010年期間擔任香港理工大學協理副校長,其後晉升為副校長,專責理大中國內地及國際發展、學院發展及合作事宜。2014年1月起,任香港高等教育資助委員會委員。
社會活動
阮曾媛琪積極參與香港社會服務,曾為全職社工,曾擔任香港社會工作人員協會主席,並曾任或現任多個政府諮詢委員會成員,包括特區政府策略發展委員會,社會工作訓練及人力策劃諮詢委員會等。歷任香港社會工作者註冊局理事。此外,亦擔任多個社會服務機構及基金會理事,包括香港社會服務聯會,香港世界宣明會,香港基督教女青年會,凱瑟克基金會等。
