《錢學森文集(英文版):海外學術文獻(1938~1956)》內容簡介:ThisvolumecollectsthescientiticworksofTsienHsuc-shenaccomplishedduringhisstayintheUnitedStatesasagraduatestudent,scientistandprolessorandpublishedintheperiodof1938~1956,whentheaeronauticexplorationsteppedfromlow-speedtohigh-speedregimesandastronautictechnologyentereditsinfantstage.Inthesepapers,headdressedandsolvedaseriesofkeyproblemsinaerodynamics,stabilityofshells,rocketballisticsandengineanalyses,etc.,someofwhichwerepath-breaking.Startingfrom1946,withhisstrategicwisdom,TsienHsue-shenmadepioneeringcontributionstosomefields,suchasjetpropulsion,engineeringcybernetics,physicalmechanicsandengineeringsciences,andSOon.Alltheseworksfeaturetheuniquemethodologyofturningbasictheoriesinnaturalscienceintopracticaltoolsintacklingcomplicatedengineeringproblems.Itisworthnotingthathefirstadvocatedthephilosophyofengineeringsciences,whichhasbeenelucidatedandillustratedinthevolumeandprovedtobetheguidelineofinnovativeindustrialdevelopment.Thecollectedworksmightbenefittoitsextensivereadersingettingdeeperinsightintotheacademiccontributions,scientificthoughtsandstudyingstyleofTsienfromvariousviewpoints.
