內容簡介
本書為培養既精通現代金融知識,又能運用英語從事金融業務的複合型人才而編寫。
全書正文共五部分,分為十三章。第一章至第三章為第一部分,主要闡述貨幣、貨幣制度、政治與經濟;第四章至第六章為第二部分,主要闡述中國中央銀行、商業銀行業務及銀行和金融機構監管的知識;第七章至第九章為第三部分,主要闡述證券、外匯交易、期貨和期權等證券投資及風險管理的知識;第十章至第十一章為第四部分,主要闡述保險基本原理、主要保險業務;第十二章至第十三章為第五部分,主要闡述金融函電的基本特點與寫作、金融函電的主要套用實例。本書附錄為分類的專業辭彙表。
為便於教學和學習,我們準備了配套的教學課件、部分正文譯文、習題參考答案、模擬試卷等輔助教學/學習資料,索取方式參見“配套資料索取說明”。
本書為本科院校金融專業英語課程教材,因本書主體內容和金融學(貨幣銀行學)課程內容相同,故而也可作為金融學課程雙語授課教材。
前言
隨著金融全球化的深化與發展,既精通現代金融知識,又能運用英語從事金融業務的複合型人才成為中國金融業的主要人才。1994年中國人民銀行建立了全國金融英語證書考試(FECT)制度,許多高等院校也紛紛開設了金融專業英語相關課程,旨在培養能夠適應中國金融業迅速發展需要的人才。我們編寫本書,希望不僅能讓讀者掌握金融專業的基本英語辭彙、術語和原理,增強專業文獻閱讀能力,還能提高讀者在英語環境下的專業操作能力和職業素養。
本書為本科教學需要編寫,內容涵蓋了金融業務的主要方面,教材內容分為五個部分:貨幣與經濟(Money and Economics);中國銀行業(Banking Industry in China);金融工具與外匯交易(Financial Instruments and Foreign Exchange);保險(Insurance);金融函電(Financial Letters)。每一部分又分為若干章,共有十三章內容,包括了貨幣、金融市場、政治與經濟、中央銀行、商業銀行業務、銀行和金融機構監管、證券、外匯交易、期貨與期權、保險、主要保險業務、金融函電和金融函電的主要套用實例等。
本書每章章首列明了該章的學習目的及主要關鍵點,使學生對本章內容學習有了初步的框架了解;正文部分採用由淺入深的方式引出主題、介紹相關基本知識,為了幫助讀者閱讀理解課文,我們採取旁註和章節附注(正文尾部)集合的方式註解課文難點,旁註註解關鍵字匯或疑難辭彙,章節附注註解關鍵短語或段落;正文之後,形式多樣的練習題測試讀者對本章專業知識的掌握與理解;擴展閱讀材料均為選自國內外金融期刊的金融前沿知識信息,有助於拓寬讀者的知識面;在全書的結尾部分,分別針對五大部分內容列示了與其相關的常用專業英文辭彙,便於讀者分類查找與學習。為了幫助讀者理解每一章的正文內容並拓展相關專業知識,我們通過“網路資源導讀”,結合二維碼連結了許多課外讀物材料;為了便於教學,本教材還提供相關的教學課件、正文譯文、課後習題參考答案等輔助教學材料。
與其他同類書籍比較,本書具有以下的特點。
第一,系統性。本書採用基礎知識基本原理闡述、業務實務操練和前沿知識拓展閱讀等方式,展示了銀行、證券、保險、期貨與期權、外匯交易和金融函電等金融主要業務內容的英文表述。
第二,實用性。根據當代大學本科教學的特點,本書採用淺顯易懂的英文及慣用行業詞語,力爭得到中等英文水平學生的喜歡,成為學生看得懂、易讀易練、易於理解的實用書籍。
第三,針對性。突出“以學生為中心”的思想,強調學以致用,採用兩種注釋結合加多種練習的方式,引導學生自主學習、學有所獲。
第四,前瞻性。本書蒐集了許多最新的反映金融創新、行業動態、行業大事件及理論研究成果的資料作為擴展閱讀與連結材料,使讀者洞悉金融行業的前沿與發展趨勢。
本書由劉鐵敏組織遼寧石油化工大學經濟管理學院具有豐富教學經驗和行業經驗、曾在國外深造的老師編寫,其中張茜編寫第一、第二、第三章,王艷華編寫第四、第五、第六章,劉鐵敏編寫第七、第八、第十二、第十三章,李秋編寫第九、第十、第十一章。本書主要針對當代在校大學生編寫,既可作為金融專業的專業外語教材,也可作為經濟管理類專業的專業課雙語參考書,還可作為金融行業工作者及愛好者的工具書或自學參考書。
