行階梯形形式

行階梯形形式(row echelon form),摘自Elementary Linear Algebra》。

行階梯形形式(row echelon form)

行階梯形形式需要滿足以下兩個條件:

1)元素全為零的行在矩陣的底部

2)如果相鄰兩行為非零行,則靠下的行的左邊以更多的零元素開始。

原定義如下:

A matrix is in row–echelon form if

(i) all zero rows (if any) are at the bottom of the matrix and

(ii) if two successive rows are non–zero, the second row starts with more

zeros than the first (moving from left to right)
