芭比之蝴蝶仙子與精靈公主曼瑞莎/瑪麗波薩( Mariposa)又踏上了新的冒險旅程，這次她將帶著她的毛絨夥伴小細（Zee)拜訪一個全新的國度——微光谷。這回她扮演一位來自展翅鎮的皇家特派大使，她想通過拜訪，與微光谷城建立和平友好的關係，從而化解展翅鎮與微光谷長久以來的兩國矛盾。然而，毛手毛腳的蝴蝶仙子卻並沒有給微光谷的國王留下好印象，也鬧了不少笑話，但她卻和公主卡塔妮婭（Catania）很快成為了朋友，並互贈了禮物，她將卡洛斯/卡路斯（Carlos）王子送給她的水晶球送給了公主卡塔妮（Catania），公主也送給她了一條美麗的微晶項鍊。但國王卻因項鍊之事把她趕出了微光谷，正當蝴蝶仙子和小細（Zee)垂頭喪氣的準備返回振翅鎮時，正巧遇到準備毀滅微光谷的邪惡巫婆格巫琳（Gwyllion），正當巫婆熄滅對微光谷最重要的石微晶時，勇敢的曼瑞莎/瑪麗波薩( Mariposa)和公主卡塔妮婭（Catania）拯救了王國。在冒險中，她們將會明白，獲得朋友的最佳方式就是當一個朋友。
角色介紹
曼瑞莎/瑪麗波莎(Mariposa)
mariposa她是一個勤奮好學且不喜歡聚會的蝴蝶仙
子，上一集中，她收到王子卡洛斯/卡路斯（Carlos）的一張地圖，要她去聖地尋找拯救女王的方法。於是她和兩個朋友出發了。與此同時，她的好友薇拉發現女王被壞仙子漢娜下了毒，於是救出被軟禁的王子，並揭發了漢娜。隨後她得到了拯救女王的神奇花朵，回到了展翅鎮（蝴蝶仙子們的國度），並用花朵救了女王。使漢娜得到應有的下場。事後，女王把榮譽花環送給了曼瑞莎等人。感謝她們拯救了展翅鎮（蝶翼之地）。
卡塔妮婭（Catania）
可塔妮婭微光谷的公主，水晶仙女。小時候
被巫婆報復從高空扔下去，導致她再也不能飛行，後來與曼瑞莎成為好友。並與曼瑞莎拯救了整個微光谷與所有的微晶。她最後原諒了巫婆格巫琳（Gwyllion），並給她了一塊微晶讓她成功的完美蛻變。
格巫琳（Gwyllion）
在精靈公主小時候，她到微光谷尋找微晶卻招到國王的驅趕，一怒之下把他的女兒卡塔妮婭從高空扔下去，導致她再也不能飛行。多年後她魔力大增想要毀滅所有的微晶，當她破壞最重要的微晶心石時，遭到了卡塔妮婭公主和曼瑞莎的阻攔，並不慎從城堡最高處跌落。事後公主不僅沒有責備她反倒原諒她並給了她一塊微晶。
格巫琳得到微晶後大變身利格列斯Regellius
芭比之蝴蝶仙子與精靈公主微光谷國王也是
卡塔妮婭的父親堅決反對微光谷以外的人擁有微晶，認為微晶只屬於微光穀人外人禁止擁有微晶，擁有微晶的外人均被他看成盜賊，因為國民絕不會將微晶送給外人。也曾一度因為國外人有微晶將曼瑞莎趕出微光谷。
小細（Zee）
一個可愛的毛毛球，曼瑞莎的寵物也是最好的朋友，一開始與Anu是一對歡喜小冤家，但最後互相愛慕。
