羅永現，男，1954年生於廣西鳳山，壯族，澳大利亞墨爾本大學亞洲學院（Asia Institute The University of Melbourne）高級講師，中央民族大學客座教授，南開大學客座教授，雲南民族大學客座教授，碩士、博士生導師，2002年至2005年期間任墨爾本大學亞洲學院副院長。學術團體身份
澳大利亞語言學會會員； 國際中國語言學協會會員（2011-2012年為執委會委員）；墨爾本大學亞洲研究學院博士生導師，美國國家科學基金會（NSF）和香港研究基金會特約評審人，《語言學》（Linguistics），《語言類型學》（Linguistic Typology）, 《孟高棉研究》（Mon-Khmer Studies） 等國際刊物的特邀審稿人。英國Routledge出版公司、荷蘭Brill出版公司出版的《語言學百科全書》及《中國語言學百科全書》有關漢藏、侗水、壯傣、加岱語等詞條撰稿人。學歷、學位
