約然·拜克斯特朗是瑞典職業外交家，社會活動家。曾出任瑞典駐德國、阿爾及爾和科隆坡大使等高級職務，現已退休。在社會活動方面，約然關注環保和和平問題，還曾經擔任瑞典紅十字會會長，國際紅十字會副會長等。現在是某國際和平機構的高級研究員。
Göran Bäckstrand is a Swedish diplomat, who has been active in this capacity within the Foreign Service and the Swedish Red Cross as well as in the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. He is presently Senior Researcher with the Forum for constructive Conflict Management. He has served at the Embassies in Bonn, Algiers and Colombo.
