內容簡介

《環境工程專業英語》是根據《大學英語教學大綱》(理工科本科用)專業閱讀部分的要求編寫的,供理工科大學環境工程或相關專業學生使用,也可供同等英語程度環境工程師或相關領域的科技人員使用。

全書共分為九個部分(Part)共37個單元。每個單元由一篇課文和一篇閱讀材料組成,總計74篇。課文和閱讀材料均選自原版英文教科書、科技報告、著作、專業期刊、國際會議論文集等。其中第一部分介紹環境工程概述和歷史;第二部分介紹空氣污染及其防治;第三部分介紹水污染的來源和種類、各種污水處理技術、處理單元設備等;第四部分為固體廢物及處理方法;第五部分介紹其他污染及控制技術;第六部分為環境影響及其評價;第七部分介紹環境監控、分析及採樣程式;第八部分介紹環境政策與管理策略;第九部分作為拓展,介紹環境與可持續發展、清潔生產工藝及其綠色化學過程。每篇課文均配有與課文相對應的練習,主要以主觀練習題為主,包括閱讀與辭彙練習,英譯漢與漢譯英,用英語回答問題及寫出課文或某一段落的summary等。為便於學生自學,本書每課配有單詞和詞組表,並對課文的難點作必要的注釋,全書最後附有總辭彙表。
