《書業十記》由中英兩國的資深出版人吳偉女士與潘仕勛先生合作寫成。吳偉女士是中國進出口圖書公司的副總經理,曾經負責“中國圖書對外推廣計畫”的設計和實施。本書的英方作者是劍橋大學出版社總裁潘仕勛先生,他設計並推動的“劍橋中國文庫”項目在中國非常知名。書中所論的十個題目,是兩位作者分別完成後才發表在《出版廣角》雜誌“中西視角”專欄上的。在這些文章中,兩位出版方面的專家就中外出版業的現狀、數位化出版時代的挑戰、出版商的社會責任、中國文化“走出去”的成就與面臨的問題等方面都作了極富創見的討論。
Ten Chapters on Publishing: Cross-Cultural and Beyond is co-authored by two senior publishers. Wu Wei is deputy manager of China National Publications Import and Export Corporation. She has been responsible for the designing and implementation of the “China Book International” project. Mr. Stephen Bourne, as the president of the Cambridge University Press, has designed and highly supported “Cambridge China Library” which is well-known by most Chinese publishers.
Ten topics in this book has been published in the column of “Chinese and Western Perspectives” of A Vast View on Publishing. Both of the two authors express their own views on the past and present of worldwide publishing industry, challenges during the digital period, social responsibilities of publishers as well as “going abroad” of Chinese culture.
作者介紹
吳偉,1988年畢業於中國社會科學院研究生院,獲文學碩士學位。長期從事出版組織、策劃、編輯、經營以及對外出版管理工作。著有《格薩爾王全傳》、《格薩爾人物論》、《十三世達賴喇嘛》、《西藏文學》等多部專著及小說。曾就職於國務院新聞辦公室,現任中國圖書進出口(集團)總公司黨委書記兼副總經理。潘仕勛,一位身體力行的國際主義者,曾先後在烏干達、坦尚尼亞、肯亞、法國、英國居住,並在中國香港工作和生活過11年。擁有劍橋大學和愛丁堡大學碩士學位。曾是英語老師和特許會計師,並在石油化工企業、實時新聞媒體和印刷公司工作過,最終加入劍橋大學出版社,並擔任了10年執行長,2012年被任命為出版社總裁。
Wu Wei graduated from the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences with a master’s degree in 1988. She engaged in the publishing business as an editor and manager for prolonged period of time. Her works include Biography of King Gesar, Figures in King Gesar, The 13th Dalai Lama, and Tibetan Literature. She now works for China National Publications Import & Export (Group) Corporation.
Stephen Bourne is a committed internationalist, having lived in Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, France, Britain and, for 11 years, Hong Kong SAR of China. He holds MA degrees from Edinburgh and Cambridge Universities. Having started his professional life as a teacher of English, he worked as a Chartered Accountant and subsequently worked in petrochemicals, real-time newswires and printing. He eventually joined Cambridge University Press, where he was Chief Executive for ten years, before being appointed President in 2012.
