1998年9月—2001年7月: 中國科學院蘭州地質所碩士
2002年1月—2006年5月: 邁阿密大學、密西根大學地質系（Miami University） 博士
2006年6月—2007年8月: 賓州州立大學（The Pennsylvania State University）地球科學系從事博士後研究
2007年8月—2009年8月: 橡樹林國家實驗室（Oak Ridge National Laboratory）生物學部從事博士後研究。

地質微生物論文獎勵
在博士和博士後期間系統的用分子生物學，礦物學，地球化學手段研究了地質微生物，2003和2004獲得美國粘土學會學生研究資助獎，2003、2004和2005年獲得美國地質學會、粘土學會，學生會議資助獎，2005年獲得美國邁阿密大學研究生成就獎，已發表10篇SCI論文，其中第一作者4篇。代表論著
