研究方向
主要從事棉花育種目標性狀的基因與基因組學研究,種質資源遺傳基礎與創新,及作物育種新方法和新品種選育等科學研究工作。在棉花遺傳學及分子育種研究領域整體居國內領先,國際先進水平。研究結果已在Plant Biotechnol J, Plos One, Genetics,BMC Genomics,Chromosoma,Plant Mol Biol,Theor Appl Genet等國際核心刊物上發表SCI論文100多篇,在Web of Science 資料庫近10 年(2002-2011年)全球棉花發文量作者統計中,排名第一。單篇最高他引85次,得到國內外同行高度關注。致力於將棉花基因組研究的理論與技術用於新材料創製和新品種培育與利用研究。近10年育成南農早(2002年國審)、南抗3號(2001年蘇審、2005年國審)、南農6號(2005年國審)、南農10號(2008年國審)等棉花新品種12個, 南農系列品種累計推廣3000 多萬畝,產生了顯著的經濟和社會效益,同時也推動了棉花種業的迅速發展。其中,轉基因抗蟲雜交棉“南抗3號”的推廣利用是長江流域棉區以國產抗蟲雜交棉取代美國抗蟲棉的3個主要品種之一。研究成果獲授權專利7項,獲國家獎2項,省部級一、二等獎8項。出版雜交棉育種的理論與實踐等專著2部,主編作物育種學總論等教材2部,參編著作和教材10多部。榮獲“新世紀百千萬人才工程”國家級人選(2006)、第三期江蘇省“333高層次人才培養工程”突出貢獻獎(2011)、 江蘇省“第二屆江蘇創新創業人才獎”(2007)、 江蘇省“先進工作者”(2006)、 “江蘇省師德先進個人”(2006)等稱號。領導的“棉花的基因組學與分子育種創新團隊”獲農業部“農業科研傑出人才及其創新團隊” (2012)。
