弗蘭奇·莫尼茲弗蘭奇·莫尼茲首次亮相螢屏是在電視電影《To Dance With Olivia》中，此後Fox的電視連續劇《馬爾柯姆的一家》（MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE）中，他扮演的馬爾柯姆一角給觀眾留下難以磨滅的印象，2001年他因此第一次獲得艾美獎喜劇劇集類最佳男演員提名，並兩度獲金球獎電視喜劇/音樂劇集類最佳男演員提名，。
莫尼茲在電影界也確立了自己的地位，在《少年特工特迪》（Agent Cody Banks）及其續集《少年特工科迪2：倫敦追蹤》（Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London）中扮演了007的侄子——一位美國少年間諜，並在喜劇《超級大騙子》（Big Fat Liar）中擔綱主演，與阿曼達·拜恩斯（Amanda Bynes）演對手戲。此外他還主演了獲得好評的影片《我的小狗斯基普》（My Dog Skip），並在《野蠻對決》（Deuces Wild）中扮演配角，與馬特·狄龍（Matt Dillon）和史蒂芬·多爾夫（Stephen Dorff）兩位大明星合作。
