《方洲新概念·英語快樂閱讀(小學生3年級)》出版於2009年，在文中的適當位置依據文章的內容配有精巧幽默的插圖，以激發學生的閱讀興趣，幫助學生理解文章的內容。閱讀是一個綜合的過程，而閱讀能力的提高更是一個循序漸進的過程。
主要內容
閱讀是學習英語的重要途徑。它不僅是學好英語，積累辭彙的基礎，也是英語學習中其他技能的基礎。閱讀能幫助我們拓展視野，開闊思路，提高對英語學習的興趣，為取得更高的語言成就鋪平道路。新課程標準規定國小階段英語閱讀量達到累計10—12萬字。要達到這樣的目標，沒有足夠的語言輸入量是不行的。當學生有了一定的聽、說基礎之後，就需要不失時機地加強閱讀學習。因為英語學習需要不斷地復現，需要大量的輸入來強化聽、說的語言材料並加以拓展。簡單機械的復現和輸入會使學生失去學習的興趣，只有將所學的知識放到新的情景中，放到新的閱讀活動中才能吸引學生，使學生保持持久的學習興趣。為此，我們特編寫了《國小英語快樂閱讀》系列叢書。
