劇情簡介
主人翁是青少年時期與父親失和而無法完成夢想的農場主人雷，有一天他聽到神秘聲音說：“你蓋好了，他就會來。”於是他像著了魔一樣剷平了自己的玉米田建造了一座棒球場，沒想到他的棒球偶像真的來到那裡打球，而且還因此而使他跟父親之間好多年心結得以開解。

穿幫鏡頭
·在明尼蘇達州的Chisholm，雷和特倫斯閱讀的新聞報紙上，很多標題上的小鎮的名字都被報社錯誤地拼寫成了"Chisolm"。
·事實錯誤：道克·格雷厄姆實際上是用左手打棒球的。
·事實錯誤：電影中提到道克·格雷厄姆生於明尼蘇達州的Chisholm，但實際生活中的他出生於北部的卡羅萊納州的Fayetteville。
