歌曲參賽
一年一度的歐洲歌唱大賽於2011年5月15日凌晨在德國北威州首府杜塞道夫落幕，亞塞拜然選手憑藉一首男女對唱愛情歌曲《嚇跑》獲得冠軍。義大利和瑞典選手分別獲得第二、三名。

歐洲歌唱大賽參賽歌曲，據了解都是原創的。很多都代表了歐洲音樂的流行趨勢，歷史上許多獲獎選手因此一舉成名。《嚇跑》這次能一舉奪冠，可見這首歌曲確實反映了歐洲流行音樂的趨勢。
大賽簡介
歐洲歌唱大賽可以說是世界最大的電視秀，超過1億觀眾目睹了這場三個多小時的電視直播。由於去年德國選手在奧斯陸的比賽中獲得冠軍，德國按規定成為今年的主辦國。杜塞道夫頭天就涌滿了來自歐洲各地的冬粉，漢堡和漢諾瓦兩市也同時舉行大型戶外活動助興。
本屆大賽有25個國家通過了初賽。雖然獲獎歌手不會得到物質獎勵，但他們的參賽歌曲代表了歐洲音樂的流行趨勢，歷史上許多獲獎選手因此一舉成名。德國歌手蕾娜曾獲上屆冠軍，此次重新上陣但僅取得第10名的成績。賽前一直被認為頗有希望奪冠的愛爾蘭、丹麥、芬蘭以及法國選手最終成績不佳。
歐洲歌唱大賽自1956年起每年舉辦一次，比賽中每個國家選派歌手參賽，各國觀眾通過電話或簡訊投票選出自己最喜愛的12個國家，由各國分別統計之後上報東道主，分數累積後最終選出優勝者，獲勝歌手代表的國家將成為下屆歌賽的主辦國。
