該作將在2004年秋天與大家見面。Beautiful遊戲工作室復用了為全球職業俱樂部提供球員資料和狀態的深入研究系統。這個資料庫被當今很多定級足球經理和教練所套用。《Championship Manager 5》更加會特別套用更加詳細的資料庫版本。除了和《Championship Manager 03/04》那樣會提供更加準確和客觀的數據外，遊戲還會讓大家感受到更加迅速的操控反應，因為讀取時間大大降低。
