世界華人工商促進會由美國共和黨亞裔主席朱伯舜、美國國際日報董事長熊德龍、泰國國家儲備委員會主席方欽松、香港鞋業工會主席何烈炘、美國國際合作委員會主席陳香梅、香港南洋銀行董事長莊世平、香港南洋銀行總經理吳連峰等一批海外僑領共同發起的世界華人工商促進會，於一九九四年在美國及香港成立。
總部設在美國，在全世界90多個國家設立了分會或代表機構。商會現有會員30餘萬以華商為主的會員、數百萬團隊會員，是全球最大的海外華人社團。
美國亞裔共和黨共同主席朱伯舜為創會會長，美國國際合作委員會主席陳香梅任永遠名譽會長，李農合先生為本屆（第四任）會長。維護全球華商在世界各地的合法權力與商業利益，促進全球華商經濟合作、促進兩岸經濟合作與和平統一是本會宗旨。創會伊始至今，商會已促成全球華商與世界各國數千億美元經濟合作，組織了上千個經濟代表團至祖國大陸進行經濟訪問，並主辦了首屆兩岸經濟合作峰會、首屆亞太健康產業博展會及華商經濟合作高峰會等一系列重大會議，亦為馬來西亞，韓國及中國揚州市、淮安市政府主辦了大型招商會。先後促成2000餘個項目百億美金在大陸各省市投資與合作。捐款各類公益事業達1.2億人民幣。

The Asian President of the American Republican Party Bo Shun Zhu, American International Daily Paper Chairman Delong Xiong, the Thai Country Stockpile Commission Chairman Xin Song Fang, Hong Kong Shoes Industry Trade Union President Lie Qing He, American International Cooperation Committee Anna C. Chennault, Hong Kong Southern Coastal Provinces Bank CEO Zhuang Shi Ping General Manager Lian Feng Wu together Instituted the World Chinese Business Advancement Association. It was established in he U.S. and Hong Kong. The headquarter is located in U.S. and has set up a branch or representative of the organization in more than 90 countries or areas in the world. The Chamber of Commerce, consisting of 300 thousand Chinese businessmen primary members and several million team members is one of the biggest overseas global overseas Chinese Associations.
In this Association , Bo Shun Zhu is the Founder President, Anna C. Chennault is the Lifetime honorary Association President. Mr Li Nonghe is the incumbent President. The Association supports each Chinese businessman (overseas) for legitimacy and commercial interest. It also promotes economic co-operation.
The Chamber of Commerce has promoted hundreds of billions of dollars worth of co-operation between Chinese businesses and countries all over the world, has organized over a thousand economic delegations to visit China and sponsored the First Inter-Coastal Economic Summit Co-operation Session, the First Asian Healthy Industry Exposition, the Chinese Businessman Economic Co-operation Summit and a series of similarly significant conferences. For Malaysia, Korea and Yang Zhou City, the Huai An Municipal Government has sponsored large scale investment in Chambers of Commerce. It has facilitated 2000 projects with 10 billion dollars of investment and co-operated with various provinces and cities on the Mainland. It has donated 120 million RMS to all kinds of public Utilities.
