創作背景
starships《Starships》由妮琪·米娜和創作人Red One、卡爾·法爾克和Rami Yacoub創作，由韋恩·赫克托耳和Bilal進行額外修改。2011年，《Starships》原定由瑞士男歌手Mohombi演唱，但是當妮琪·米娜聽到該歌曲的演示版的時候，向Mohombi索要了該歌曲，將其歌詞修改得更符合她的音樂風格，並在洛杉磯的康威錄音室錄製了妮琪·米娜的人聲部分，由特雷沃·穆茲監製，其混音製作過程用時一天，錄製過程用時兩天。
