I read the four paragraph. Firstly, look at the first sentence. Although I was not familiar all of the words, I try to guess and image the whole sentence. Actually, it is difficult to understand. So I need to use the dictionary to look some words up. For instence, here “defend” means “argue for herself”. Three paragraph be used as model to express “exulting”. What is “exulting”? Author told us.What her mother, her husband and the mother of four do was showoffs. The three paragraph look like a long parallel sentence. They have The Same word to be the beginning of paragragh. Those discribing are sufficent and essential. I think author want to say sometimes showing off is acceptable and forgivable. So do I. Some adequate shoeing off , to a certain extent, make people happy and have boosted other people’s success. Besides, they was just sharing with their friends.
