歌手介紹
黃義達，為一個新加坡的全方位音樂創作人，2004年4月21日於台灣出道，他的創作及聲音隨即引起矚目、並因此擁有廣大死忠冬粉。歷年來，簽約新力音樂為其發行過四張個人專輯ㄧ張精選輯～多年來在台灣發展，其創作實力也廣為人知。為海內外多位歌手量身打造製作了多首動聽曲子。2010年12月21日他在北京加盟橙天娛樂，即將推出個人新專輯“微光”。此外，由黃義達、唐嫣主演的首部音樂愛情電影‘保留’於2011年4月12日於酷6網隆重推出，上映僅3天的《保留》就獲得了的超百萬的高點擊率。

1989年11月，MJ為慶祝前輩老藝人Sammy Davis Jr. 從藝60周年而創作並表演了這首 You Were There。他說這歌只唱一次，唱給Sammy。此次演出時Sammy已被診斷患有喉癌，於半年後去世。
真棒（BAD）時期的MJ可謂如日中天，卻真誠而謙卑的銘記著打下基礎的前輩，比如這裡的Sammy，還有James Brown。Sammy的成就在於在他之前，黑人可以在Las Vegas 等地的高級酒店登台表演，卻不能住在那裡，或者有私人化妝間，也不能進入酒店內的賭場、餐廳和酒吧。即使是Nat King Cole這樣的大牌也不行。Sammy成為巨星以後，拒絕去實行這樣種族隔離的場所表演，從而率先打破了演藝界的種族壁壘。這正是You Were There想要表達的，歌詞簡簡單單，卻句句發自MJ真心。
