創作背景
專輯《MTV Ultimate Mash-Ups Presents: Collision Course》不是Jay-Z、Linkin Park協定的發片，而是為了MTV台，為了MTV台節目《Mash-Ups》，現場秀的節目性質就像以前為人熟知的不插電節目一樣，只不過該節目要求不是不插電，而主要是把不同音樂流派的藝人捏合在一起演出，正謂其名“搗漿糊”。這張CD加DVD的專輯就像當年一個又一個的不插電專輯一樣，是MTV台節目的產物 。
