Five For Fighting

1997年，美國創作型歌手John Ondrasik用Five For Fighting作藝名發行了他的首張個人專輯《Message for Albert》，實際上，Five For Fighting這個詞原來是曲棍球比賽中的一項規則，指被裁判罰下場5分鐘等待重新上場的隊員。

Five For Fighting被認為是一個樂團，可是實際上只有一個成員——John Ondrasik。Ondrasik認為自己只是歌手和作曲家，可是實際上他也是吉他手和鋼琴家。

John Ondrasik出生並成長於洛杉磯的San Fernando Valley地區，母親是一位鋼琴教師。從兩歲開始，John Ondrasik就開始跟隨母親學習音樂。在13歲那年，已經精通鋼琴演奏的John Ondrasik開始自學了吉他。之後，John Ondrasik開始嘗試自己作曲。興趣廣泛的John Ondrasik甚至還專門學習過唱歌劇，但過了不久，他就發現歌劇並不是他真正喜歡的，最吸引他的還是比利·喬（Billy Joel），旅行樂隊（Journey），埃爾頓·約翰（Elton John），史蒂夫·旺德（Stevie Wonder）和Earth, Wind & Fire樂隊的音樂。
