科研上主要從事強子物理和計算物理研究,主持了國家自然科學基金項目(3項)、教育部科學技術重點項目、教育部王寬誠教育基金項目、重慶市自然科學基金重點項目、重慶市套用基礎研究項目(5項),以第一作者或通訊作者在Phys. Rev. D, Phys. Lett. B, Phys. Rev. C, Eur. Phys. J. A, J. Phys. G, Phys. Rev. B, J. Phys. Chem., Appl. Surf. Sci., Phys. Chem. Chem. Phys., J. Phys. D, Comput. Mater. Sci等國際學術期刊上發表SCI收錄論文60餘篇,獲重慶市自然科學獎二等獎和三等獎各一項。人才培養上主要承擔量子力學、物理學中的群論、強子物理等課程的教學任務,主編出版了物理學本科用教材兩部、教學參考書一部,主持了教育部新世紀教育教學工程項目,主講的物理學本科專業量子力學課程為市級精品課程。
