人物簡介
陳宜周 ，男，江蘇大學教授，博士，博士生導師，現已退休。浙江省餘姚市人，畢業於上海交通大學機械工程系，1995年獲得日本名古屋工業大學博士學位。他長期從事研究生的彈性力學和斷裂力學教學工作。在教學中，他精心備課，認真寫出講稿。在課堂上，他深入淺出，講清物理概念。他在教學工作崗位上奮鬥了四十多個春秋，桃李滿天下。陳宜周教授已培養出多名研究生。這些研究生均有較高的力學水平和分析能力：有的已出國深造，有的已獲得博士學位，有的已成為高等學校骨幹教師。科學研究

獲得榮譽
1.他指導的6篇研究生論文均發表在國際力學雜誌上，為國內少見。基於這一業績，獲得1991年江蘇省優秀研究生教師的榮譽。2.獲1995年全國優秀教師獎和1996年江蘇省紅杉樹銀獎。
3.陳宜周教授在力學研究上作出了重大貢獻。他四次完成國家自然科學基金項目。他先後在國外雜誌發表論文168篇。這些論文發表在美、英等著名力學雜誌 J.of Appl.Mech., Int.J.Eng.Sci, Int.J.Solids Struct., Eng.Fract.Mech., Int.J.Fract., Comput.Struct., Acta Mech.,
Ingen.Arch. 共14種雜誌上。國內雜誌上發表27篇，發表在力學學報、固體力學學報等7種雜誌上。他的論文被國外同行引用達300次之多。曾四次（1993，1994，1995，1996）得到SCI檢索全國前十名的榮譽，在國內處於領先地位。

5.陳宜周教授、林筱雲副教授2008年發表在Computational Materials Science第2期上的論文“Elastic analysis for thick cylinders and spherical pressure vessels made of functionally graded materials”累計被引頻次居於全國TOP 500，受到同行較高程度的關注。
陳宜周教授的研究工作在國際上有較高的知名度和聲譽，儘管目前已經退休，但他仍然心繫科研，沒有停止工作，每年都有大量論文發表並被SCI收錄，為青年科技工作者樹立了榜樣。
