科研成就
陳士林在國際上創建了基於ITS2的中草藥DNA條形碼鑑定方法體系，完成專著《中國藥典中藥材DNA條形碼標準序列》，從基因層面解決中草藥物種真偽鑑定的難題，被評為2016中國十大醫學進展 ；
通過全基因組解析提出靈芝為首箇中藥基原藥用模式真菌，被Nature China 選為中國最佳研究亮點推介 ；
完成並發表人參 、丹參、赤芝 、菊花、卷柏 、穿心蓮、紫芝 等全基因組圖譜 和相關組學研究，成功培育並獲批4箇中藥材新品種證書或良種證書，開拓奠定《本草基因組學》學科基礎並由科學出版社出版 ，列為全國高等醫藥院校規劃教材 ；
完成並編著《中國中藥材產地生態適宜性數值區劃》，避免中藥材盲目引種栽培，主持無公害種植項目成功推廣套用 ；
獲教育部高校成果科技進步一等獎1項 ，國家科技進步二等獎3項 。
獲國家發明專利和美國專利授權36項 ，發表論文400餘篇，其中SCI 論文200餘篇，包括國際著名期刊 Nature Communications，PNAS等，論文被他引1.5萬餘次，H指數58（Google Scholar），連續四年入選Elsevier高被引中國學者榜單 。
