袁傳有博士的著作《避免二次傷害:警察訊問言語研究》即將出版，受其委託代為寫序。作為導師，我對作者整個寫作過程中付出的種種艱辛非常了解，對其孜孜以求、勇於探索的開拓精神印象深刻。法律語言學是一個嶄新的研究領域，近年來，國內學術隊伍逐漸壯大，人才輩出，成果豐碩，令人欣慰。警察訊問言語是法律語言學研究的重要課題，在國外法律語言學界已有不少研究成果，並且已直接套用到警察訊問的實踐中。作者敏銳地洞察到該研究的動態，選擇中國的警察訊問言語作為研究對象，具有鮮明的現實意義，體現了法律語言學為我國法治建設服務的研究宗旨。作者基於評價理論和言語適應理論，在《避免二次傷害:警察訊問言語研究》中建構了“多維度訊問言語轉變模型”，包含適應社會、文化和心理維度的訊問言語策略和語言手段。該模型為法律語言學研究提供了一套切實可行的分析框架，已被法律語言學研究者所採用，具有較大理論價值。該模型的建構，是法律語言學理論建設中的一種成功嘗試。
