誇張法

誇張法(hyperbole)是指為了達到強調或滑稽效果，而有意識的使用言過其實的詞語，這樣的一種修辭手段。誇張法並不等於有失真實或不要事實，而是通過誇張把事物的本質更好地體現出來。誇張法既用在日常會話中，也用在文學作品中。
例如：
1.I beg a thousand pardons.千萬請求原諒。
2.She was scared to death.她嚇得要死。
3.I'd give the world to see the Great Wall.我要不惜一切代價看看長城。
4.There isn't a weapon he doesn't know the use of.什麼武器他都會使用。
5.Have a little compassion on my nerves. You tear them to pieces.稍許體諒一下我的神經吧。你簡直要叫我的神經脹破啦。
