本書中介紹了無線通訊網路中的線上頻率分配問題。這是一類資源最佳化配置問題,在包括數學、計算機、通信等多個學科中都受到了廣泛而深入的研究。對於頻率分配問題,本書介紹了兩個模型:Non-Release模型 和Release模型,針對這兩個模型,著重研究了線性網路和蜂窩網路中的線上頻率分配。針對大規模無線網路,探討了根據局部信息進行計算的分散式頻率分配方案。最後,本書中還介紹了無線蜂窩網路中的呼叫控制問題,當無線頻寬給定時,如何充分利用有限的頻寬儘可能多的滿足用戶的通信請求。本書可供高等院校計算機、運籌等專業高年級及研究生閱讀,也可供相關專業和工程技術領域中的研究人員參考閱讀。
