劇情簡介
影片劇照漢克上尉專門從事核武器的研究，他工作投入，因而忽視了妻子與家庭。妻子卡爾麗卻是個愛表現的人，不
甘心過平淡的生活，性格放蕩不羈。在一次核試驗中，由於準備不充分，使兩名無辜者受到傷害。軍方竭力掩蓋事實，漢克卻試圖阻止試驗，結果與上司文斯發生衝突。漢克哪裡知道，這位長官與他妻子有染，正企圖藉此機會陷害漢克。不久漢克被送入了瘋人院，被折磨得死去活來。卡爾麗儘管任性，但終於意識到丈夫的重要，於是她開始營救漢克。本片發人深思，給人的啟迪，生活原本平淡才是真。
