《模具專業英語(第2版)》將作者在模具行業的工程實踐與其在高職教育領域長期的教學體會相結合，有針對性地選擇了塑膠模具和衝壓模具方面的專業技術文章和相關技術資料進行組織編寫，所選文章涵蓋了模具材料、注塑機器、模具結構、模具加工設備及加工技術等方面的知識。
本教材共分五個單元，分別敘述了模具材料、注射模具設計、鍛壓成形及模具設計、模具加工技術、模具報價與結算方面的內容，大部分文章選自相關專業教材或相關專業刊物原文。全書圖文並茂，與專業課程聯繫緊密，每課課文後都附有新單詞、詞組注釋、互動練習等模組。其中互動練習模組的內容是在前一版的基礎上新增的，實用性較強，著重訓練學生的歸納和總結能力，加強學生對專業知識的理解，方便教師與學生在課堂上的交流互動，同時也可提高學生的學習興趣。為擴大學生的閱讀範圍並補充知識量，本教材在每一篇課文後都安排了閱讀材料，以供學有餘力的學生閱讀，也可選擇其中部分內容作為課後作業。
