It shows all available Iowa Department of Transportation apps, even those apps that are not currently installed on the device. If an app is selected that is not installed on the device, the user is taken to that app in the App Store so the app can be installed. Once apps have been installed, the myIowaDOT app can be used as a launch pad for those apps. The list of apps available on the myIowaDOT app is built dynamically, so new apps will automatically appear in the myIowaDOT app as they are developed. Users can also create a list of favorite apps, personalized to meet their needs. Apps that are currently available with myIowaDOT include Aviation (Iowa airport directory and aviation weather), Drive Test (practice test to prepare for the Iowa driver's test), Iowa DOT's Facebook page, Iowa DOT's Twitter feed, Iowa DOT Legislative Information, Iowa 511 (current road conditions), myMVD (several resources for Iowa driver's license holders), and DL Docs (determine which documents are needed in order to obtain an Iowa Real ID).
