劇情介紹
女人真是麻煩，有孩子的單身女人更是煩上加煩……不過尼克（艾斯·庫伯飾）可不在乎這些，對於他來說，女人只是附屬品，追到手就算大功告成，根本無需費心去經營什麼感情，如今，尼克的最新目標是單身媽媽蘇珊娜（尼爾·朗飾）。可能因為經歷過一次失敗的婚姻，蘇珊娜對男人小心翼翼、步步為營，惟恐行差踏錯——尼克使盡了渾身解數，也無法除她心底的那道防線。新年將至，尼克卻發現蘇珊娜的臉上絲毫沒有過節的喜悅，反而日漸愁苦，原來蘇珊娜的一對兒女都在紐約，可是為了工作，新年期間她必須留在溫哥華加班，分居兩地的生活讓她備受相思之苦。腦筋靈活的尼克馬上察覺這是自己大獻殷勤的好機會，便自告奮勇開車將她的兩個孩子——11歲的琳賽（艾麗莎·艾倫飾）和7歲的凱文（菲利普·丹尼爾·波頓飾）接到溫哥華來過新年。然而，令尼克想像不到的是，蘇珊娜的兩個孩子不但古靈精怪，還有少許偏執，痛恨所有和媽媽約會的男人，他們決定在去溫哥華的路上想盡一切辦法讓尼克別再打媽媽的主意。
圓滑的經營者Nick正準備追求一位年輕而有魅力的離異女性Suzanne。然而問題在於Suzanne由於工作無法抽身，獨自待在溫哥華，她非常想念家中的兩個孩子以至於整日眉頭不展。為了能與Suzanne有更進一步的發展，Nick殷勤地提出願意為她達成願望——前往遠在美國奧勒岡的波特蘭將7歲的Kevin以及11歲的Lindsey接來與他們的母親團聚。
但讓Nick始料不及的是，Suzanne的兩個孩子認為沒有一個男人配得上自己的母親，於是一路上想盡各種辦法整治Nick。
