2002年加入華大基因，先後從事體外診斷試劑研發、管理及基因組研究行業，在Nature、Science等國際頂級學術期刊發表論文40餘篇。曾任華大科技總裁，華大集團營運長（COO），華大醫學總裁，現任華大基因股份有限公司執行總裁，率領團隊積極推動前沿生物技術和基因組學研究成果的產業化套用，向全球頂尖的醫療機構、科研機構、大學、藥廠、育種公司等提供完整的基因組學解決方案，為臨床行為提供診斷、干預和治療依據，為生命科學及醫學創新提供技術和研究服務
主要經歷
尹燁尹燁2002年加入華大基因分支——北京華大吉比愛生物技術有限公司，先後從事體外診斷試劑研發、產品註冊、生產管理、質量管理、市場行銷等工作，在生物產品研發、生產、質控、申報註冊及生物技術臨床套用推廣等方面有豐富的經驗，主持申報多項專利，數十項體外診斷試劑，對於GMP/IVD/ISO系列質量管理體系有深刻理解。2003年春，尹燁作為“非典型性肺炎”早期診斷科研攻關的主要參與者之一，在華大高效完成SARS病毒測序和獲得診斷蛋白之後，他率領團隊在24小時內即完成了SARS診斷試劑盒全部研發及申報材料的準備並順利獲得了國藥局的審批。隨後，華大及時將30萬人份“免疫檢測試劑盒”免費送到了防治SARS的第一線。
2009年，因綜合表現突出，尹燁調入華大基因總部，負責基因組學及生物信息學全球範圍內的產業推廣，並先後出任華大基因科技合作事業部總裁、全球生產平台負責人、華大基因研究院助理院長，華大集團營運長，華大醫學執行總裁等職。他負責組建起華大基因全球行銷團隊，打造華大基因全球化科研、產業平台，完成了華大的全球化布局。期間，尹燁先後擔任全球“千種動植物基因組計畫”總指揮，“百萬人重測序計畫”第一負責人，“蒙古高原特色物種基因組計畫”總負責人，“蒙古族人基因組計畫”項目主持人等，主持或參與了上百個國際基因組合作項目，在Nature等國際頂級學術期刊發表多篇論文，並推進建立華大與全球生物科研機構良好合作關係，為推動基因組學研究、分子育種、醫療健康、環境能源等領域的科研發展及為廣大普通民眾提供前沿生物科技在醫療、農業、環境及能源等領域的套用服務做出重要貢獻。在任華大醫學執行總裁期間，全面貫徹個體化、預測、干預、參與“4P醫學”理念，推動了基因檢測的臨床套用發展，以降低出生缺陷及重大疾病對人類健康的危害。
華大基因在2013年成功完成對美國上市公司Complete Genomics的全資收購，尹燁在華大此次海外收購過程中作為核心成員起到了關鍵作用，積累了豐富的資本運作和融投資經驗。
目前，尹燁任華大基因股份有限公司執行總裁，率領團隊積極推動前沿生物技術和基因組學研究成果的產業化
套用，向全球頂尖的醫療機構、科研機構、大學、藥廠、育種公司等提供完整的基因組學解決方案，為臨床行為提供診斷、干預和治療依據，為生命科學及醫學創新提供技術和研究服務，致力於成為全球基因科技套用服務行業領導者。
2014年獲中國十大經濟潮流人物獎。
2015年獲評大連理工大學“2014校友年度人物”青年校友成就獎。
