劇情簡介
本片是根據1983年播出的4集電視劇（近3小時）重新剪輯而成的電影版。《灰姑娘》的童話故事大家都知道，而本片所描寫的故事發生在現代社會。它講述了一個叛逆的皇家少年，拋棄貴族生活去追求音樂。在賣唱的過程中，他認識了一個美麗的平民姑娘，於是他們相愛了。但由於門第的懸殊，他們被迫分開，但最後愛情讓他們終於走在了一起。這是個很美麗的愛情故事，故事裡面有首歌就叫STAY，是男主人公為愛人譜寫的優美的旋律……

女主角劇照提起Bonnie Bianco這個名字,不少人可能都不知道她是誰。但如果提起一部名《八十年代灰姑娘》（《Cinderella'80》）的影片，80年代的人應該都不陌生吧。電影裡的插曲《stay》更是曾經風靡一時，傾倒無數痴情男女。這部電影的女主角兼主唱就是Bonnie Bianco(電影的男主角名叫Pierre Cosso），也是一名演員兼歌手，曾出演過《初吻2》。

幕後花絮
義大利和法國合拍的浪漫愛情電視電影《辛迪——八十年代灰姑娘》博得很多人的喜愛，可是這部拍攝於上世紀八十年代初的電視劇在1983年播出後卻反響平平，1987年原片由4集近3小時剪輯成100分鐘搬上大銀幕放映後，立刻受到世界各地影迷的歡迎，尤其是影片的原聲音樂風靡全球。
其實這部1983年拍攝的影片以現在的眼光來看，只不過是個小成本小製作的電視電影，由義大利電視台和法國電視台聯合攝製。這也就解釋了一區為何始終未發行這部影片的DVD，而只有德國二區發行過配置簡單的D5的原因了。這部影片在歐美雖然不紅，但在世界其他地方FANS可不少。
原聲音樂
整部電影從頭到尾都縈繞著優美的歌曲，其中由兩人合唱的《STAY》最讓人記憶深刻。影片中男主角第一次彈著鋼琴深情凝望女主角唱出的歌，讓多少人難以忘懷。
