內容提要
檢討近年來醫學本科教育中的不足，學生的專業外語交流能力較差是缺憾之一。這種先天不足將影響學生今後直接從國際兒科學界汲取豐富學術營養的能力，關係到我國兒科學界將來能否躋身世界學術先進行列的前景。
兒科學（英文版）根據國情妥善解決這個問題的辦法有賴於雙語教學的逐步推進，本教材編寫的目的正是為了順應此項任務的需要。
本教材是首次按中文版教材框架搭建英語內容，在“洋為中用”的過程中可能有疏漏或錯誤之處，希望能得到教師和學生的批評、指教，使我們能不斷獲得經驗並改進質量。
