六十年代,從洛杉磯到舊金山的66號公路上已經出現了100多家汽車旅館,總和起來大概有數以千計的房間,它們仿佛讓這條公路變得更加曲折.這些房間都十分類似,直到陽光旅館的一起未知事件使得普通的東西變成神奇的道具.
陽光旅館的10號房的設施和其他房間類似,不過這些看似平凡的剪刀,梳子之類的東西在某一天突然擁有了神奇的效果,把自己從一般的東西變成了不可毀滅的物體.
剪刀可以旋轉並且使3尺以內的東西旋轉.當你用梳子梳頭的時候可以停止時間10秒中.眼鏡可以停止20英尺以內的燃燒.房間本身則是一個不變的港口,它可以通往任何目的地.不過他也可能讓你付出比生命還寶貴的代價.擁有了一個物體就擁有了它的力量.
使用者使用任何一個物體都需要付出一個身體上的,情感上的或者心理上的代價.只要拿著它們你就會變成被獵殺的對象.
幾十年前,或者這家汽車旅館剛建成前這個房間就和現實之間產生了裂縫.和其故事一樣,有人計畫收集這個房間的所有物體,為了得到無窮的力量,他們認為這些物體可以滿足他們,另外一些人則禁止任何人再次使用這些物體.雖然他們的目的不同,不過他們的戰術相似.據說只要你擁有了其中一件物體,你就會失去朋友.一個人在孤寂中等待出口.
一個帶著嚴重槍傷的年輕人交給警察德特．喬．米勒其中的一件物體,這是所有物體當中最有力量的一件,擁有了它就等於擁有了其他的物體--房間的鑰匙.當他的小女兒在房間中走失的時候,他的生活立刻徹底的發生了變化.為了救回自己的女兒,喬成了一股邪惡力量的目標,它會不惜一切代價奪走喬拯救女兒的希望-鑰匙.

這片的創意讓我想到一個很有名的game,就是在一個房間找齊13間東西脫逃,不知道大家玩過沒有。電影《亡命天涯》（The Fugitive ）和電視劇《陰陽魔界》（The Twilight Zone）的情節交錯，會產生什麼樣的效果？顯然這部新劇創造的氣氛將是不能阻擋的。雖然06年底播出，但是應該是明年最值得期待的劇集。
