創作背景
2005年的春天，尼歐在紐約遇到了挪威的製作團隊Stargate （米可·S·埃里克森和托爾·埃里克·赫曼森）。尼歐發現他們製作的以R&B為主的背景音樂很適合他。於是，Stargate開始為尼歐的首張專輯寫歌，他們一共製作了六首歌，其中就有《So Sick》。 Stargate負責歌曲的譜曲，尼歐負責歌曲的填詞。歌曲的創作靈感源自尼歐與前女友的分手。

so sick《So Sick》是一首當代R&B歌曲，歌曲的音調以E中調為主，尼歐的音域在D4到B5之間，擁有每分鐘96次的適度節拍。

歌曲MV
第二版歌曲的MV由海普·威廉士指導。MV原本拍攝了兩個版本，原始版本因各種原因被取消，原始版本講述了尼歐追求心繫的女孩的故事。之後的版本在雪山拍攝，該版本MV中，尼歐一邊唱歌一邊回憶自己與前女友感情的分裂以及曾經和睦相愛的畫面。同時也表現了尼歐失去女友的傷心與孤獨。
