attitudes toward work (8-9)
After I glance down the two paragraphs, a strange sentence attracts my attention---“ a number of companies recently in the news know all too well the public impact of internal decisions.” Although my English grammar and analysis of sentence is a complete blank area in my mind, I try to understand it by separating into piece of short sentence, then reorganize these pieces of core meaning together. Afterward, a new sentence appears like this: it is reported that a number of companies know the public impact of internal decision very well recently.
And the second question comes from two words---“ethnic” and “racial”. Both of them could be treated with almost the same meaning. The two words mean connected with the group of people to which someone belongs. But there are no two identical leaves in the word. The meaning of ethnic is more close to nation or peoples. By contrast, another one means the type of human nearly.
Then I find a new way to describe sever labor relations----lay off, and I look up the dictionary, I collect some
synonym---fire someone, get the sack, dismiss somebody and so on.
The internal problem always brings in a side effect to a company; race prejudice, racial discrimination, salary competition, fringe benefit, or whatever. Because employees always compare unrealistic to their devotion to their job, their salary level, their working environment in different department. To be a wonderful leader or a prefect company, all they need to do is supply a warm and harmonious working environment. We can learn lots of methods from the instance, and they have the corepurpose just as what I think. They do it for future development and earn more benefit than before. We can image that all your employee sweat their guts out but with a happy mood, or we say without any complaint, how enrich the reword is! Compare the cost which uses for fawn on the employees with the net profit from their working, the former is only a mite on an elephant.
But the most important is, never neglect it.
