Advertising campaigns
I have many questions about the first paragraph to the 8th paragraph in the unit 6. About the read, it’s so hard that I must look the dictionary up many times. I can’t understand many sentences.
In the first paragraph, “Many people are believers in…” the sentences is plural and used the word “are”, but the “believer” become “believers”. Why? It’s a wrong sentence in my opinion. What mean about the “advertising playing”? And I don’t know what mean about this sentence that “Their own purchases, their think…”
In the second paragraph, I don’t know the mean about the sentence “laughed at belittled and all but ignored.”
In the third paragraph, there is a sentence “the one most vulnerable…” I can’t understand the sentence’s construction. In thethird paragraph, I think” the most vulnerable one” is better than original text.
In the forth paragraph, I can’t understand the mean about “some assertion of superiority for the product being advertised.”
In the fifth paragraph, there’s a question about a sentence that “all or most of the brands available…” Why the author don’t write “all or the most of the brands available.”
In the sixth paragraph, one sentence that is “… better than any other orange juice.” Why the author used “any”. I can’t find this sentence have denial element.
In the seventh paragraph, there are two questions. Two sentences are “… Product, and, in spite of …” and “… better than – and therefore superior to – any other brand.” I can’t understand the sentences ‘construction. Why the author used “,” and “-“?
The author told us about the advertisement. The author’s view‘s justice. He is neither the advertisement’s excellence nor the advertisement’s shortcoming. And the author thinks some advertisement’s good for consumer. A few of these claims are down right lies. And the author introduces the rule of parity claims.
In my opinion, the advertisement’s very important in this society. Many people very hate the advertisement when they watch the TV play. I also hate. But I think the advertisement stand for the progress in the society. The advertisement can give the consumer information that the better product is born. And the entire thing has duplicity. Also like the advertisement. Some bad products in disguised from the advertisement. They used the advertisement’s publicity deceive the consumer. So the advertisement’s credibility’s reducing in the consumer.
In My View, the claim’s very interesting, some excellent advertisement’s claim’s very brilliant, like “the eye’s the soul’s window; please give the window a glass.” This is a glassed advertisement.
I can’t understand the rule of parity claims. But I agree with the rule. I know the advertisement’s deeply.
