新專輯《Black Holes and Revelations》是MUSE籌備了兩年的精品，首支單曲''Supermassive Black Hole''一上市，就得到了廣大歌迷的的認可，登上了本周英國UK單曲榜第4位。
美劇《邪惡力量》第二季EP10、11年英劇《神秘博士》S06E05中曾出現過這首歌。
這首歌曲同時也作為熱門青春影片《暮光之城》Twilight中卡倫一家在雷雨天中打棒球時所配的曲子。
