創作背景

The Pretty Reckless is an alternative rock band from New York City that was formed and is fronted by American actress and model Taylor Momsen. Other members include Ben Phillips (guitar), Mark Damon (bass) and Jamie Perkins (drums). The band was originally going to be called "The Reckless", but was changed to The Pretty Reckless due to trademark problems.Their debut album entitled Light Me Up is due to be released on August 31, 2010. They released their first single "Make Me Wanna Die" on May 13, 2010. The single peaked at 1# on the UK Rock Chart and was received with positive reviews.　Taylor Momsen：“不誇張地說，我從5歲就開始寫歌和玩吉他。”

關於為什麼組樂隊而不是一創作歌手，泰勒解釋，“我想找人和我一起完成我的夢想，表達出我要的音樂。”其中的關鍵字就是“泰勒的音樂”。這份執著，讓The Pretty Reckless經歷過一次徹底換血，原因是舊團員無法表達出泰勒想要的音樂。

早在09年初，泰勒就率領了三個成員錄製了小樣，並且還在美國朋克雙人女組合The Veronicas的巡演中當開場嘉賓。但泰勒不管樂隊已經曝光，因為樂隊成員無法適應她音樂風格的原因而將他們果斷開除。目前，The Pretty Reckless由她擔當創作、主唱、吉他，本·飛利浦是另一個吉他手、馬克·戴蒙是貝斯手，吉米·珀金斯是鼓手。“二輪”The Pretty Reckless的風格和“首輪”相比，曲風顯得更加不客氣，更加黑暗。
