詹姆斯·巴恩斯[管樂作曲家與教育家]

詹姆斯·巴恩斯 ( James Barnes ) ，美國知名管樂作曲家與教育家。代表作有《阿爾維瑪序曲》等。

個人簡介

1949年9月9日出生於美國俄克拉荷馬州。現任職於美國堪薩斯大學 ( University of Kansas ) ，教授配器法與作曲。

個人經歷

曾於1978 年及 1981 年分別以其「第一號交響曲」與「陰森景象」 ( Visions Macabre ) 獲得美國樂團指導者協會 ( American Bandmasters Association ) 的奧斯特瓦德獎 ( Ostwald Award ) 。另外他亦曾多次獲得美國作曲家、作家和出版商協會的作曲獎 ( ASCAP Awards ) 。

巴恩斯曾多次指揮荷蘭皇家軍樂隊 ( Koninklijke Militaire Kapel, KMK ) 及日本東京佼成管樂團 ( Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra, TKWO ) 灌錄其作品並發行唱片。另外，他在美國、歐洲、澳洲、日本與台灣等地亦以客席管樂指揮的身份參與各式盛會。自 1984 年起，其作品多由美國南方音樂出版公司 ( Southern Music Company, SMC ) 發行。
