個人履歷
40年代生於紐澤西的Dionne Warwick,因家庭淵源從小與福音歌曲結緣,6歲開始學音樂,並擔任家族福音歌唱隊的成員,後來在大學裡接受正統的音樂訓練,隨後從紐澤西鄉下遠赴紐約發展,擔任歌手與樂團的合音工作,60年代初即以合音展開其音樂生涯,不久被名作曲家Burt Bacharach發掘,與Burt合作到70年代初一共產生了20幾首Top 40的暢銷曲,這也是Dionne音樂生涯的第一個高峰期。狄昂自信中帶著沮喪的唱法,成功地詮釋歌詞意境,引起樂迷共鳴,之後,她便與Burt Bacharach (曲)、 Hal David(詞)結成堅強的創作成/演唱三人組,特別自六○ -八○年代間,締造了許多令人百聽不厭的排行暢銷曲,因此若是樂迷只知道她是現代節奏藍調天后惠妮休斯頓的表姐,曾經1986年與艾爾頓強、史提夫汪達為籌措愛滋病基金所合唱的排行Top 10單曲That's What Friends Are For等事跡是絕對不夠的,因為她在此之前的成就,已經足以和披頭士、海灘男孩 (Beach Boys)以及摩城唱片(Motown)的許多超級巨星相提並論。成就及榮譽

WINNER-1980 Tokyo Intl POP Music Festival for her performance of "FEELING OLD FEELINGS" from her Arista debut album "DIONNE" produced by barry manilow. The song was awarded Song of the Year...the equivalent of the Japanese Grammy.
