簡歷:
李和東,男,博士,研究員,博士生導師;中國科學院動物研究所細胞運動與肌肉收縮課題組組長。1996年於中國科學院上海生物化學研究所獲得博士學位。其後在美國 University of Massachusetts Medical School 從事研究工作,先後擔任博士後(Post-doctoral research fellow),講師(Instructor),和研究助理教授(Research assistant professor)。2008年底入選中國科學院“百人計畫”,2009年起擔任中國科學院動物研究所研究員,博士生導師。
長期從事肌球蛋白結構與功能的研究。首次構建了具有單頭結構的平滑肌肌球蛋白,證明了雙頭結構是平滑肌肌球蛋白調節的基礎。首次提出了尾部抑制假說(Tail-inhibition model)解釋非典型性肌球蛋白Va調節的機理。這一假說已被廣泛接受,並成為研究其他肌球蛋白調節的基礎。曾獲得美國心臟學會(American Heart Association)的博士後研究資助 (post-doctoral fellowship, 1999-2001)和科學家發展研究經費 (Scientist Development Grant, 2004 - 2008)。近年來取得的研究成果主要發表於國際核心學術期刊,包括J. Biol. Chem., PNAS, Cell 等。

目前的研究重點包括:1)非典型性肌球蛋白功能的調節;2)肌球蛋白運動與馬達蛋白運動的關係;3)昆蟲特有肌球蛋白的結構與功能;4)平滑肌收縮的調節機理。
