本課題組主要研究興趣是突觸囊泡釋放的分子生物學和細胞生物學原理。我們結合分子生物學和生物物理學方法，探索控制神經遞質精確釋放的突觸機制。尤其關注的課題是：1）怎樣的分子生物學機制決定了神經突觸鈣通道與突觸囊泡的耦合，這一耦合是如何調控突觸囊泡釋放率、釋放動力學以及突觸可塑性的；2）神經遞質釋放參與神經編碼的信號機制。
Biography&Introduction
Dr.SuncompletedhisPh.DandbecameafacultymemberintheDepartmentofBiologyatEastChinaNormalUniversityin1993.In1997,HedidhispostdoctoralfellowshipwithDr.WolfAlmersattheMaxPlanckInstituteforMedicineResearchinHeidelberg,Germany.During1999-2002,heworkedasaresearchassociateinDr.Ling-GangWu'slabatWashingtonUniversityinSt.Louis.In2002,hewasappointedasanassistantprofessor(researchtrack)intheDepartmentofNeuroscience,UTSouthwesternMedicalCenter,Dallas.HejoinedtheInstituteofbiophysics,ChineseAcademyofSciences,asaprincipalinvestigatorin2008.
Dr.Sun’sresearchinterestsarefocusedonthemolecularandcellularmechanismofSynapticvesiclerelease.Hislaboratoryusesaninterdisciplinaryapproachwithcombinationofbiophysicsandmolecularbiologytoexplorethemechanismthatthepresynapticsecretorymachineryachievesthepreciseneurotransmitterrelease.Heisparticularlyinterestedin1).Themolecularmechanismthatdeterminesthecouplingbetweencalciumchannelsandsynapticvesiclesandhowthisspatialorganizationgovernsvesiclereleaseprobability,vesiclereleasekineticsandsynapticplasticity.2).Thesignalingmechanismsthatlinkdifferentmodesofsynaptictransmitterreleasetoneuronalcoding.
