大學英語泛讀教程內容簡介
《大學英語泛讀教程(第3冊)》內容簡介：這套教材分4冊，每冊10個單元，每單元2篇文章。第一、第二冊每單元的第一篇文章介紹西方文化背景知識，第二篇文章介紹課文背景相關知識。根據學科特點，結合學生的當前需要，本套教材從第三冊開始，每單元的第一篇文章是科普知識，旨在為學生提供各類學科的一定量辭彙和相關知識，以擴充他們的英文辭彙量和相應學科知識面，為學生將來閱讀所學專業領域的英文資料，直接了解世界上該學科的先進技術和科研動態奠定紮實的英文閱讀基礎。為了方便學生自學和課下閱讀，我們在每篇文章後增加了注釋，而且在課文後附設了答案、問題解析以及參考譯文，以便讀者自學。
本套教材還有兩個特點：一是文章篇幅由短到長，逐漸遞增，到第三、第四冊，每篇文章擴展到800甚至1 000多個單詞，以逐步提高學生的閱讀速度和閱讀能力，使其適應大學英語四級考試的需要；二是為了讓學生加深理解和記憶，我們在每篇文章後附設了5個問題供學生練習、實踐。有的文章不算太長，適合學生在課下閱讀，用5～8分鐘完成兩篇文章的閱讀，其中包括附設的練習內容。
